Our Design & Cabinetry Installation Process

Once we’ve provided your Brooklyn custom-built-in cabinets estimate, we’ll schedule an on-site visit with a curated selection of samples. This allows us to better understand how your cabinetry will work within the space—and helps us manage both project and material costs more efficiently.

We typically recommend starting the design process at least four months ahead of your desired installation date. However, if you're on a tighter schedule and still want exceptional quality, let us know. Depending on the cabinet line, whether you choose semi-custom kitchen cabinets, custom built-in cabinets, or semi-custom cabinets, we can often rush orders if production is initiated within a week of the design consultation and site measurement. How to get started?

1. Free Consultation

Begin by requesting an estimate via our website and select a date and time for an initial call. Prior to the call, we’ll send you a questionnaire to understand the type of custom cabinets service. The questionnaire will also ask you to upload images and plans of the space. These can be old or new plans, we’ll simply be referencing them to gain a better understanding of your space.

During the call we’ll discuss the full scope of work. We’ll be looking to cover off everything you already have in mind and any additional considerations, such as: cabinet style and color, cabinet interiors, flooring, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and other furniture.

2. Free Estimate

Having discussed your project in detail, we’ll send you your estimate within 48 hours of our call.

This cost estimate will detail out the size and scope of your project and include visuals of the different styles and brands of cabinetry we discussed.

This initial estimate will enable us to narrow down, making sure we’re moving in the right direction and answering any questions you might have. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to make any final decisions at this stage.

3. Optional: Initial Design

If you’d like to see what your chosen style and design would look like before committing to it, our design team can bring it to life through an initial design for a small retainer of $200*.

4. Design Process

Once you are happy with the estimate and clear on the design, the next step is to take site measurements so we can work to arrive at a final design. At this point in time we’ll requires a $1,500** design deposit.

5. Order Placement

Once you’re satisfied with your final design, we’ll ask for it to be signed and for you to pay all deposits so your cabinetry order can be sent to the factory for production. Shortly after placing the order, you’ll receive an estimated delivery and installation date. Throughout the production process we’ll keep you updated on the progress of your order and the delivery and installation schedule. During this time we’ll also conduct pre-installation site visits to ensure everything’s in place for a seamless installation.

6. Quality Checks

Throughout installation we’ll keep you updated and informed, providing clear communication at every step along the way, making sure you’re satisfied with the finished product upon completion.

Additionally, we include a free adjustment service within the first year for the cabinetry we’ve provided and a free warranty replacement at the discretion of the supplier.
